How it works

While Amazon requires all merchants wishing to sell on Amazon have EAN, UPC, ISBN or ASIN codes for every product they sell (with the exception of some sellers who have been granted exemption from this requirement by Amazon directly), we understood that not all Magento users keep this information on their products within their product attributes. For this reason, we created the Quick Setup Wizard.

This tool searches Amazon for products matching data held within up to 3 of your Magento Product Attributes. For example, you could select to search by name, model number and manufacturer, or should you have UPC codes for your items, you could simply search using an attribute containing this.

The tool will return up to 10 matching products, and all you need to do is click either ‘This is my product’ or ‘No matches shown – Skip this product’. If you feel confident that your search terms will only yield results which match your products, you can elect to automatically accept matches found. You can also elect to skip products without matches automatically. This means that if you have a large accurately defined catalogue, you could leave the tool to run through your catalogue, come back and find you’re selling on Amazon!
